Strengthening the connection between research, industry, and society to promote a sustainable, productive, and resilient aquaculture

The ACUICONECTA project aims to foster applied research and sustainable innovation in aquaculture, the validation and transfer of its results, and their dissemination to society. It seeks to enhance coordination and synergy among R&D+i entities in Macaronesia, promote knowledge exchange with African countries on the Atlantic coast, and strengthen the connection between research, industry, institutions, and society in the cooperation space.

Funding

Approved in the 1st call for proposals of the Interreg MAC 2021-2027 Programme and co-financed at 85% by the European Union through the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), under Priority 1 “Smart MAC – Improving business competitiveness through innovative and smart economic transformation” and Specific Objective 1.1 “Develop and enhance research and innovation capacities and the adoption of advanced technologies.”
